“Know someone, know Someone Cares”

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – Save the date and mark your calendar for November 21st and 22nd, 2019 and make sure to register early, as Someone Cares Inc., presents its two-day Health & Wellness Symposium in the conference center of its new headquarters in Marietta, Georgia. The 2019 Health & Wellness Symposium is another event in the organization’s 23rd year celebration to “Know someone, know Someone Cares” campaign.

Someone Cares Inc., www.s1catl.org, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community-based organization with two locations, Marietta and Atlanta, Georgia. For 23 years, we’ve being living the vision in real time to eliminate all barriers to health services for all individuals who experience health disparities related to sexual health in primary care, HIV testing, STD and HEP C screening and treatment, and intensive mental health and substance abuse counseling and treatment.

The organization takes pride in doing the necessary work, going above and beyond to engage, educate and empower individuals living with HIV/AIDS and other health disparities to achieve better health outcomes by eliminating barriers to culturally sensitive services, building a network for underserved groups, and increasing client resiliency.

Join us, as we continue to build on the unprecedented awareness on the Trans community as it relates to creating, maintaining and facilitating safe zones, hormone replacement therapy and PrEP, mental health, opioid addiction counseling and treatment methodology and HIV/AIDS 2020 and beyond. The Symposium goal is to further the education and enrichment of forging ideas into solutions.

The Symposium is for healthcare professionals, elementary, middle and high school teachers, college and university lecturers, nurses, doctors, church ministries, graduate students in Public Health & Policy, LGBTQ advocates, community-based organizations employees, national, state and local government employees, pharmaceuticals and lay persons.

By convening in an atmosphere of learning, Someone Cares Inc. continues to lead by having provocative dialogue, congruent with our mission to empower through education. Leaders can then be armed with the latest tools to adequately provide services to underserved populations, at-risk youths, people living with HIV/AIDS, and those desperately in need of mental health services.

The Symposium hopes to attract a wide audience across all ethnic and social demographic lines — as we’re all one in this global arena of culturally diverse populations. Space is limited and on a first come, first serve basis.
